London: UK TV soap Coronation Street has offered Prince George his first cameo role, according to reports.
According to the Daily Star, the soap`s bosses offered the 2-week old tot a cameo role in the show, to celebrate the programme`s new set, the Daily Express reported.
Show`s creative director John Whiston told the publication that they wanted the royal baby to come and open the new street, asserting that it would be fantastic to get Kate, William and George there with a pair of tiny baby scissors.
Referring to the cameo that Prince Charles made on the show as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations back in 2000, Whiston asserted that the soap has a long historical connection with the Royal Family so having the newest arrival on the set would be perfect.
He added that they didn`t have time to put the birth in a storyline.
