Jerusalem: Portraying a heart-wrenching scene, some images and a short video clip displaying an armed Israeli soldier trying to arrest an 12-year-old Palestinian boy with a broken arm in the West Bank went viral on social media.
The video has been viewed on Facebook more than 2 million times, shining a light on Israeli military policies in the territory, as per a leading English daily on Monday.
The footage shows a masked Israeli soldier, with an automatic rifle slung over his shoulder, trying to subdue the boy, whom Israeli authorities accused of throwing stones.
After the soldier grabs the kid and presses his head against a boulder, hard, a group of Palestinian women, including the boy’s mother and his sister, surround and slap at the soldier, pull at his mask and clothes, and even bite his hand.
