It was an extended wait for Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi for his monthly salary. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader has written an angry letter to the cabinet secretariat in this regard.
Prabhat Khabar reported that directions have been given for action against officials who are at fault for Modi not getting his salary till March 14.
The official letter from Modi has been sent to the principal secretary of the cabinet secretariat. It has been said in the letter that action must be taken against errant officials in such cases. It further says that the deputy chief minister came to know few days back that some people in his department failed to get their salaries.
What is the technical fault behind delay in salary, asks the letter, pointing that the deputy chief minister has no information regarding the same.
The report says that cabinet secretariat principal secretary Brijesh Mehrotra has said that he is yet to receive such letter, adding that “if anyone’s carelessness has led to the delay in salaries, appropriate action would be taken against those responsible”.
