New Delhi: Debutante Sara Ali Khan is in a promotional spree for her first Bollywood film Kedarnath, which is all set to hit the theatres in December. The young actress has been visiting the sets of various reality shows for the promotion of her film. During one such visit, Sara was gifted a 'Taimur doll', which bears an uncanny resemblance to her baby brother and social media sensation Taimur Ali Khan. This, however, left her amused and awkward at the same time.
During an interview with Zoom Tv, Sara revealed how she felt when she was handed over a Taimur doll on the sets of reality singing show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Sara said, “So, we were on this reality show called Sa Re Ga Ma and they gave me this doll. I think they realised that in front of Amit sir (Amit Trivedi) and Sushant (Singh Rajput) they shouldn't do this because they'll turn around and say this, "It's a bit awkward." But, "Sara is Sara and she'll take it so, let's just do it". And they have given me this doll and said, "doodh pilaao bachche ko" and this that and the other and I was like, "What's going on!" I was like, "There is this lookalike of my baby brother in my hands and there are these bottles of doodh and it was just...”
However, her co-star Sushant had a different take on this whole incident. He, like any other Taimur Ali Khan fan asked if Sara still has the doll and asked her to give it to him, as he is such an adorable kid and she has him for real.
Sara promised to give him the doll and went on to add, "But, it was insane. Sushant and Amit sir were there and suddenly they weren't and there was the baby and I was like, "Okay, then..." So, yes that was that."
Kedarnath is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Pragya Kapoor, Abhishek Kapoor and Abhishek Nayyar. It is reportedly based on 2013 flooded which wreaked a havoc at the temple town of Kedarnath.
The movie is set to hit the screens on December 7, 2018.
The lead actress Sara has another movie lined-up for release in December. She will be seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba' opposite Ranveer Singh in an out-and-out commercial masala venture. It is a Hindi remake of the 2015 Telugu blockbuster 'Temper'.
