Ganesh Chaturthi 2022 comes to an end on September 9, with a huge procession carrying the gigantic idol of Lord Ganesha marking the culmination of the 10-day long festival on the day of Anant Chaturdashi. Devotees across the country celebrated the festival with great ecstasy.
The festival dedicated to the elephant-headed god had begun on August 31. The idols of Lord Ganesh are taken to nearby water bodies and immersed. Devotees take the idols for immersion in grand processions.
The idols of Lord Ganesh were installed in homes and public pandals across the state with pomp and gaiety this year with the coronavirus pandemic no longer casting its shadow on the celebrations.
The Mandal members were expecting approximately 2 crore devotees to visit the Lalbaugcha Raja this year after a hiatus of two years. During the live darshan, devotees could be seen in large numbers who arrived at the pandal to seek the blessings of the deity. (Image Source- ANI)
