The new 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS facelift goes on sale in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 1.32 Crore, ex-showroom.
The GLS facelift tweaks a host of changes on the outside. Around the rear, it now gets revised tail lamps, along with subtle revisions to the bumper.
The radiator grille on the GLS facelift is inspired by the legendary G-Wagon. Of course, the grille has now grown larger, accentuating the overall presence of the SUV. Moreover, the GLS now boasts a new design for the headlamps.
Measuring 21 inches in diameter, the GLS facelift gets new alloy wheels. Also, the SUV goes on sale in a total of 5 colour options - Sodalite Blue, Obsidian Black, Selenite Grey, Polar White, and High-tech Silver.
Talking of powertrain choices, the GLS now gets two engine options - 3.0L six-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. Both of these motors come with a 48V mild-hybrid system and an ISG.
Updates for the interior include new dashboard trims, upholstery, and aircon vents. Also, the updated steering wheel is used here.
The panoramic glass pane for the integrated instrument cluster and infotainment unit are in use on the facelifted GLS. Also, the parking package is standard across the range.
A 3D Burmester sound system is on use on the updated GLS, and the last-row seats can be folded flat with just a press of a button.
