Australia emerged victorious by a margin of 41 runs against Pakistan in a thrilling clash. Pakistan were bowled out for 266, with the Aussies recording their third win of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Pakistan seemed to be dominating the chase at one stage after reaching 136/2. However, they have slipped to 160/6 within the space of a few overs, which could make the crucial difference between a victory and a defeat.

Pakistan have reached 51/1 at the end of the first ten overs of the innings, with Fakhar Zaman back in the pavilion. Babar Azam has scored 26 runs so far with Imam-ul-Haq unbeaten on 20 in the chase of 308.

Pakistan pace-bowler Mohammed Amir recorded career-best figures of 5-30 from his bowling spell of 10 overs. His spell helped Pakistan bowl out Australia for 307 runs. Opener David Warner was dismissed for 107 runs off 111 deliveries, leaving Australia in a steady position at the time of his dismissal. However, the remaining batsmen failed to make their presence felt as Pakistan recorded a comeback in the clash.

David Warner completes his 15th century in ODI cricket with a boundary. He celebrates with a trademark leap as Australia get closer to posting a sizeable total against Pakistan.

Australia cross the 200-run mark with David Warner close to a century and Glenn Maxwell at the other end.

Australian skipper Aaron Finch dismissed for 82 after he attempted to go for a big hit off a slow delivery by Mohammed Amir. Mohammad Hafeez at extra cover completed the catch without much ado with Australia losing their first wicket.

Australian opener David Warner has completed his third half-century of the ICC World Cup 2019 off 51 deliveries. Warner has not been as aggressive in this tournament as he is on a regular basis. However, he has ensured consistency and fluidity in his gameplay.

Australian skipper Aaron Finch completed his 23rd ODI half-century from 63 deliveries. He further followed it up with a six off the next delivery. Pakistan, on the other hand, will be frustrated following a dropped catch as well as an umpire's call which went Australia's way.

Pakistan will look to strike with early wickets upfront with Australian openers David Warner and Aaron Finch capable of taking the game away from the opposition. Speedster Mohammed Amir has been in good form for the side lately and will be looking to ensure more of the same in this vital clash.

Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has won the toss and opted to field. Shaun Marsh and Kane Richardson replace Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa in the lineup for Australia. Shaheen Afridi is the sole addition to the Pakistan side.

Team Australia will be looking to get back to winning ways against Pakistan following a defeat against India in their previous clash of the ICC World Cup 2019. There is no dearth of support for the Aussies at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, as evident from this image.
