England take on New Zealand in World Cup final

Hosts England and New Zealand will look to clinch their first-ever title at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men's World Cup when they square off with each other in the much-awaited summit showdown of the 2019 edition of the marquee tournament at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London on Sunday. 


For the first time since the 1992 edition, England booked their place in the final of the mega event with an eight-wicket victory over defending champions Australia, while New Zealand defeated Virat Kohli-led India by 18 runs to storm into their second consecutive final. 


Overnight rain delays toss

The toss for the World Cup 2019 clash between England and New Zealand has been delayed for 15 minutes due to some overnight rain. 



Kane Williamson-led New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first against Eoin Morgan-led England in the final of the 2019 International Cricket Council (ICC) clash at iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London. Openers Martin Guptill and Henry Nicholls are all set to kick start their innings for New Zealand. Fast bowler Chris Woakes to open the proceedings for England.
