Record rainfall in China claims 33 lives, over 3 million people affected by deadly floods- In pics

New Delhi: The record rainstorm in China caused severe waterlogging in many cities including the capital Zhengzhou. The sudden downpour resulted in flooding which left the citizens trapped inside shopping malls, offices and even on underground subway trains.

As the severe weather spread northwards, tens of thousands of people were being evacuated from flood-hit regions of central China on Thursday as officials raised the death toll from heavy rains that have deluged Henan province for almost a week to 33 people.
