Mumbai: Fans of Baahubali in South Indian can look forward to watching Part 1 of the magnum opus on the silverscreen once again! Yes, you read that right.
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli said that he may re-release the first half of the film one or two weeks before ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ hits the screen on April 28.
"We are planning to release part one maybe one or two weeks before the release of part two in southern states so people can get back into the narrative," Rajamouli said at the trailer launch of the Hindi version here.
Also present at the gala event were lead actors of the film Prabhas and Rana Daggubati besides Bollywood producer-director Karan Johar,
Unfortunately, the trailer of the film in Tamil got leaked online hours before it was officially unveiled. But the makers soon called it a technical glitch!
"This particular thing is neither due to leakage or piracy, it is due to some technical glitch on Facebook. The video which was to be on private mode went on public mode. But fans are happy that we came early. All is well that ends well," Rajamouli said.
‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ went on to become a craze of sorts. The magnum opus set in the backdrop of a fictitious kingdom in ancient India turned out to be roaring success in the international market too. The film reportedly earned about Rs 650 globally.
Also starring Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser and Sathyaraj, ‘Baahubali 2’ will conclude the story and also unravel the mystery behind Amarendra Baahubali’s death at the hands of his dear uncle Kattappa.
