New Delhi: As Hurricane Nicole continues to strengthen, heading toward Bermuda, NASA has released a satellite image that shows the storm's large eye.

As per NASA, the image of 'Hurricane Nicole' was created at 12 p.m. EDT on October 12 that showed it had a large eye.

The storm was well-rounded with feeder bands of thunderstorms wrapped tightly around the eye and from a band east of the center, says NASA.

And at 11 a.m. EDT, the large eye of Hurricane Nicole was located near about 295 miles (480 km) south-southwest of Bermuda near 28.4 degrees north latitude and 66.9 degrees west longitude.

NOAA manages the GOES series of satellites and the NASA/NOAA GOES Project creates images and animations from the data.

The image was created by the NASA/NOAA GOES Project at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Meanwhile, cameras outside the International Space Station (ISS) captured views of Hurricane Nicole on October 12 at 1:37 p.m. EDT as it moved north at about 8 miles an hour, packing winds of 100 miles an hour. Watch it here!

NASA and its partner Orbital ATK have postponed the launch of the next commercial resupply mission, the Cygnus spacecraft, to the space station to no earlier than Sunday, October 16 due to Hurricane Nicole.
