New Delhi: After much delay, the Sri Lanka cricket board on Thursday announced their 15-man squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2016 as well as ICC World Twenty20.
Lasith Malinga, who is on a break from international cricket due to injury, was named the skipper of the T20I side for both the tournaments.
Angelo Mathews, Nuwan Kulasekara and Rangana Herath, who missed the three-match Twenty20 series against India which Lankans lost 1-2, have also returned for the shortest format of the game.
Under Malinga's captaincy, Sri Lanka won their first Twenty20 title in 2014 when they defeated India by six wickets in the final.
