At Rs 15 cr, Virat Kohli and not MS Dhoni is IPL`s highest-paid player
Chris Gayle is unsurprisingly, the highest-paid overseas cricketer in IPL.
New Delhi: Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday revealed the actual salary figures for all retained players on its website.
While it was long believed that MS Dhoni was the league's highest-paid player, the numbers on the IPL website painted a different story.
In fact, it is India's Test skipper Virat Kohli who tops that list. He is paid a cool Rs 15 crore (USD 2.26 million) by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Dhoni will be paid USD 1.89 million by his new Pune team.
