Brisbane: Aussie cricketer Chris Lynn, part of Kolkata Knight Riders team in the 2014 Indian Premier League, smashed a double-century (209) in Queensland grade cricket here on Sunday.
Playing for domestic side Toombul District Cricket Club, Lynn hit 19 sixes and 12 fours, taking just 137 balls to hit the double-century against Northern Suburbs District Cricket Club at Toombul's home ground of Ken Mackay Oval, reports cricket.com.au.
He, along with Brendan Nash (123 not out from 84 balls), helped the home side to a massive score of 385/3 from their 50 overs. In reply, their opponents only managed a score of 282 in 44 overs.
"I was really pleased with the control I had to bat for the length of time I did," Lynn said after play on Sunday.
