New Delhi: Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has said Virat Kohli's performances in Australia are better than even those of Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman.

Dada said that he had seen several players do well in Australian conditions, but India's ODI vice-captain was the best of the lot.

"The only positive from India's tour of Australia is Virat Kohli. He just keeps getting better and better in Australia. I have seen a lot of players do very well in Australia, like Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman but I think Kohli is the best," Ganguly told Sports Today.

Ganguly may not be wrong in his assessment, as Kohli definitely loves playing against the Aussies.

While he has four tons to his credit in Tests in Australia, Kohli's ODI record Down Under wasn't impressive before the ongoing tour.

However, the Delhi has tuned the tide in the new year.

In the four matches so far, Kohli has scored two half-centuries (91, 59) and two centuries (117, 106).

The 28-year-old is the top scorer in the series with 373 runs, averaging an exceptional 93.25.

With two centuries in 2016, Kohli has now scored 25 ODI tons in 170 matches and is 4th on the list for most centuries in the 50-over format.
