New Delhi: Veteran Australian wicket-keeper batsman, Brad Haddin, took a bizarre catch on the 2nd day of the second Test on Saturday to dismiss West Indian batsman Shai Hope at Sabina Park.

Hope got an outside edge off Nathan Lyon but the ball missed Haddin’s gloves, and it looked as if the ageing player had dropped the chance. But the 37-year-old showed impressive composure the ball stuck between his legs.

Haddin stood there for some time to make sure the ball remained secure and would officially be awarded as a catch. Immediately after which short-leg fieldsman Steve Smith came to pluck the ball out.

It seemed Haddin used all his experience of professional career to keep his calm while taking the catch.

It's certainly one the most unorthodox catches of Haddin's career.

The strange catch was reminiscent of one taken by England wicketkeeper Alec Stewart to dismiss Ian Healy at the Oval in 1997.
