Dernbach to cover left arm with tattoos if picked for Ind tour

The English speedster plans to cover his left-arm with tattoos if selected for the upcoming five-match ODI tour to India in October.

London: Jade Dernbach is not a clean-cut cricketer and is known for his body art, his moniker and studs in his ears, but the English speedster plans to cover his left-arm with tattoos if selected for the upcoming five-match ODI tour to India in October.
Dernbach was adjudged man-of-the-match for his four for 22-run spell during England`s six wicket win over India in the lone Twenty20 game on Wednesday and a spot in the India-bound squad looks inevitable for the fast bowler. "I need to have a meeting with my tattoo artist to plan things out. It is a long process. It is not as easy as finding a picture and putting it on. It is a big job and will take a lot of planning," the South Africa-born pacer said. Dernbach, however, appeared to be a level-headed cricketer when he said that irrespective of their world champion status it would be difficult for India in the ODI series if the home team continues to put up the ruthless show. "They (India) are a world-class outfit and world champions. Any team with that title is going to want to bounce back and show what they are about. That is what makes the series so interesting," he was quoted as saying by the British media. "We are expecting a backlash but if we can continue to play as we are doing, then it will be hard for them. The World Cup is over and behind us. If we can keep this team together and move forward then I think we can do some great things," Dernbach added. The first ODI of the five-match series starts at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street on Saturday. PTI
