New Delhi: According to a media report, former Pakistan cricketer Arshad Khan is now compelled to drive a taxi in Sydney to make ends meet.

The off-spinner who represented his country in nine Tests and 58 ODI was spotted by a Facebook user, who booked an Uber taxi Down Under.

Ganesh Birle, who spotted Khan was in a state of shock when he saw the face of his driver.

"He was the driver of our cab and we started chatting, he told me that he is from Pakistan and lives in Sydney. Also that he has been to Hyderabad many times when he was playing for Lahore Badshahs. After which I asked him his full name and then I was shocked to see his face which I could partially recognise. I shook his hand and left," Ganesh Birle posted on Facebook, as per the report in India Today.

Birle also mentioned that the ex-cricketer offered him water and other stuff.

For the record, Khan has 32 Test and 56 ODI wickets to his name.

Last year New Zealand's former cricketer and once feared all-rounder Chris Cairns was also spotted driving trucks and cleaning bus shelters for 17-dollar-an-hour salary.
