ICC World Twenty20: Yuvraj Singh regrets not to finish game against Pakistan

Yuvraj Singh forged 61-run stand with Virat Kohli for the fourth wicket.

New Delhi: Senior member of the Indian cricket team, Yuvraj Singh, played a crucial 24-run knock against arch-rivals Pakistan in the ICC World T20, but the left-hander has a regret that he didn't manage to finish the game on Saturday at Eden Gardens.

"I wanted to bat according to the situation no matter how big the occasion was. It was important to focus on right things. I just wanted to watch the ball and rotate the strike and I was able to do that. Unfortunately, I could not finish the game. Virat is in sublime form and Dhoni came and finished the game," Yuvraj told bcci.Tv.

He forged 61-run stand with Virat Kohli for the fourth wicket to help India win the high-voltage clash.

While talking about his batting role in the on-going tourney, Yuvi said: "My job is to play a few balls and then play my attacking game.”

Yuvraj feels that after beating Pakistan, India have got the confidence back, which will certainly help them in the their next game against Bangladesh.

"I am happy that team won as it was important to get the confidence back. The next match is against Bangladesh and hope that we continue in good form."
