Bangladesh needed 11 runs off the final over and Hardik Pandya was handed the ball by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. As Mahmudullah picked up a single, the equation was 10 needed of five balls. His partner Mushfiqur Rahman slammed two consecutive fours, and with four wickets in hand, the Tigers looked all set to script a famous victory.

The equation read two runs to get from three deliveries with four wickets in hand. There was tension all across the country as it was a must-win game for the hosts. Hardik Pandya struck a blow for Bangladesh when Mushfiqur attempted a slog to finish off the game in style, but instead held out in the deep.

The wave of tension and thrill increased further as India presented themselves with a chance. The close affair went in India's favour as they struck twice in the final two deliveries. Bangladesh saw India snatching a victory from jaws of defeat.

The entire nation celebrated with joy amidst all the finger nails chewed and the yearning eyes for a victory as fans in Bangladesh were left heart-broken.

But it wasn't the case for UP's Om Prakash Sharma to celebrate the win, as he succumbed to a heart-attack during that crucial phase of the final over, when three final deliveries did the trick. He was declared dead by the hospital on the way itself.

Sadly, death can have its most bizarre moments and that was the case with Om Prakash, whose family would have wanted him to enjoy the thrilling finish.
