SRH vs KKR, IPL 2016: Kuldeep's spell; Yuvraj's knock; Bhuvi-Mustafizur's accuracy – three talking points

New Delhi: Banking on a formidable pace attack, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 22 runs in IPL 2016 Eliminator on Wednesday.

In a knock out match, SRH, who have been very consistent with their performances this year, got the better of Gautam Gambhir and his boys with a collective performance.

Here are some of the most talked about points from the game:

Kuldeep Yadav's spell (3/35)

He might have not played all the matches for KKR this season, but the Chinaman bowler grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he bamboozled SRH batsmen with his variation. After losing Shikhar Dhawan (10) early, David Warner (28) and Moises Henriques (31) had stitched a formidable 59-run stand for the second wicket, before Kuldeep dismissed the Australian duo in one over. Kuldeep also dismissed Ben Cutting for a duck and produced a wonderful run-out off a direct hit to dismiss Deepak Hooda (21).

Yuvraj Singh's knock (44 off 30 balls)

As KKR bowlers picked wickets at regular intervals, SRH were looking to post a score of 140-50 run on board. But while others were struggling to decode Kuldeep Yadav, Yuvraj Singh read the spinner beautifully and produced some massive hits against his bowling. The southpaw's confidence has grown as the tournament has progressed and his knock was extremely crucial in getting Hyderabad past 160-run mark vs KKR.

Brilliant death bowling by Bhuvi-The Fizz

KKR needed 47 runs to win off the last four overs with five wickets remaining. But the last four overs were bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mustafizur Rahman, who displayed exceptional control over line and length once again in the death overs. The pace duo asphyxiated the batsmen by giving no room at all as KKR managed to score just 25 runs off the last 24 balls.
