New Delhi: India ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni demanded 80 crore as the royalty for his biopic – MS Dhoni: The Untold Story – as per the media reports.

If reports are to be believed then negotiations have been going on for a while but the deal has only recently been sealed for Rs 80 crore. Of this, Rs 20 crore has reportedly been paid to Dhoni for the rights to his life story. As part of the backend deal, the cricketer will also get a share in the film's profits and royalties.

However, there no confirmation yet from the concerned persons involved.  

Fox Star Studios have acquired the rights of the film, directed by Neeraj Pandey, featuring Sushant Singh Rajput as the lead character.

The film-makers haven't yet disclosed the release date of the much-anticipated biopic. If we go by the name of the film then audiences are not just going to trace the journey of India's most successful skipper of all time but might also get to know more about the unknown and interesting facts about his personal life.

Dhoni has retired from Test cricket and is now leading India in ODIs and T20 cricket.

In the last few years, Bollywood has made films based on the life of a famous sportspersons like Paan Singh (Paan Singh Tomar), Milkha Singh (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag) and Mary Kom (Mary Kom).
