N Srinivasan to take part in BCCI working committee meeting today as TNCA representative: Report

New Delhi: Reports on Friday claimed that former BCCI president N Srinivasan is going to attend the Working Committee meeting to be held in Kolkata.

This comes after sources on Thursday stated that the BCCI is opposing N Srinivasan's participation in the meeting.

According to a report in NDTV, there was high drama ahead of the Board of Control for Cricket in India's working committee meeting on Friday. N. Srinivasan flew in to Kolkata to be part of the meeting as a representative of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA).

The BCCI's working committee will meet to discuss the way forward for Indian Premier League franchises Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

It is likely that Srinivasan will also try to get entry into the meeting which will be held in a five star hotel in Kolkata.

Reports also suggested that he was defiant and wanted to remain President of TNCA and therefore felt he had the right to attend the meeting.

Earlier in February, Srinivasan had presided over the BCCI working committee meeting to which the apex court had taken strong objection.
