The Punjab captain had match-figures of 10/67 as tamil Nadu were bowled out in only 22 overs in chase of 313 on a very difficult track at the NPR College ground.

It was one of the worst matches for Tamil Nadu as they scored 68 and 69 in their two innings.

The TNCA prepared a turner keeping in mind their battery of spinners but India's third highest wicket-taker showed that 'Old is Gold' as the Tamil Nadu batsmen did not have any answer to his viciously turning deliveries and the bounce that he generated off the track.

As many as six Tamil Nadu batsmen were out without scoring while Baba Aparajith (32) and Rajagopal Sathish (14) reached double figures.

Earlier, Punjab were all-out for 174 in 42.5 overs in their second innings with keeper-batsman Gitansh Khera scoring 43.

This is the 6th such match in Ranji Trophy which ended inside two days.

Brief Scores: Punjab 206 & 174 (Gitansh Khera 43, DT Chandrasekhar 4/56, Malolan Rangarajan 4/53)

Tamil Nadu 68 & (target 313) 69 in 22 overs (Harbhajan Singh 7/37). Punjab won by 243 runs.
