New Delhi: On the occasion of 82nd Air Force Day celebration, Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar attended the IAF parade on Wednesday at Hindon Air Force Station.

The Master Blaster was presented at the Air Force station along with his wife Anjali. Tendulkar wore his Air Force attires on the special occasion.

He was first sportsperson to be made honourary Group Captain in the IAF. He was conferred with the rank to honour his cricketing achievements in 2010 amid much fanfare.

In fact, he was also the first personality with no aviation background to receive the honour. The rank was conferred on Tendulkar under the provision of granting honorary rank by armed forces to eminent personalities acknowledging their contribution towards the nation.

The 41-year-old Mumbaikar retired from international cricket last year in November after playing 200 Test matches.
