Under Virat Kohli, Indian cricket will scale ' difficult heights': Harbhajan Singh

New Delhi: Harbhajan Singh believes that in Virat Kohli, Indian cricket has found an indomitable leader who will lead the team to success.

The veteran off-spinner, appearing in popular television show, Aap Ki Adalat, said that "It's good to see the way Virat Kohli conducts himself. I feel this is the brilliant way forward for Indian cricket. Going to play with the right body language, fighting it out for India with a zeal to get the right result, we need such a spirit, which Virat Kohli has."

Harbhajan played 103 Test and 236 ODI matches for India and is still third (417) and fifth (265) highest wicket-taker for the country respectively.

“Whether it's his own or he may have taken it from me, I feel it's a great sign for Indian cricket, to take India to difficult heights," he added.

Kohli was given the captaincy reigns for Test cricket in December 2014 during India's tour Down Under after the retirement of MS Dhoni from the traditional format.

Since then the 27-year-old has emerged as a fearless leader, and at the same time producing runs at will.

And under his leadership, India beat Sri Lanka 2-1 in a three match series last year to help India win it's first away series in four years.
