Arsenal FC's Mesut Ozil on course to set Premier League assist record

New Delhi: Mesut Ozil's sparking form of late has seen Arsenal emerge as major title contenders for the Premier League crown this season.

The German was at his breathtaking best on Monday night, assisting both Gunners' goals against Manchester City.

The midfielder has now provided passes that led directly to 15 goals in the 2015-16 season.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is the current record holder for most assists in a single season with 20.

With 21 games to go, Ozil is on course to not just overtake the Frenchman but also take his tally to an astounding figure.

Interestingly, the 27-year-old believes his improved numbers are due to better conversion of chances by his teammates and not a result of changes to his personal game.
