Palmeiras to sign teenage Argentine playmaker

Brazilian club Palmeiras has agreed to sign teenage Argentine playmaker Agustin Allione from Velez Sarsfield.

Paulo (Brazil): Brazilian club Palmeiras has agreed to sign teenage Argentine playmaker Agustin Allione from Velez Sarsfield.
The 19-year-old is expected to undergo a medical with the eight-time Brazilian champions later this week. "Everything has been agreed to," Allione told Globoesporte. "It looks like I will travel there on Thursday." Allione`s signing came at the behest of former Velez coach Ricardo Gareca, who took charge of Palmeiras in May. The attacking midfielder will be the third Argentine in Palmeiras` squad, joining Fernando Tobio and Pablo Mouche. "I`m really happy to be given this opportunity but also sad because I`m leaving a club that has given me everything," Allione said. Palmeiras are currently 12th in Brazil`s Serie A championship standings with 13 points from 11 matches. The Sao Paulo club returned to Brazil`s top-flight in December having been relegated 12 months earlier for only the second time in their history.
