Vinesh won all of her three league matches to win gold in the women's freestyle 50k division. Earlier, Neeraj Chopra registered his season-best distance of 86.47m to claim India's first athletics gold in this edition. Earlier, boxing legend Mary Kom won her first ever CWG medal, and it was gold in the women's 45-48kg. Her fellow boxer Gaurav Solanki also claimed the top spot on the podium in the men's 52kg category. In shooting, Sanjeev Rajput won gold in the Men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions. Harmeet Desai and Sanil Shankar Shetty won bronze in men's doubles table tennis. However, Sharath and Sathiyan lost their gold medal match and had to settle for silver. Boxer Vikas Krishan won gold in the 75kg category. But Satish Kumar lost his gold medal match in the +91kg category.

That's it from us. India had a great today and take their tally to 25 gold, 16 silver and 18 bronze. They kept their third place in the overall standings behind leaders Australia and England. Sad news for India. Sharath and Sathiyan lose their gold medal table tennis match and will have to settle for silver. So is the case with boxer Satish Kumar, he loses his +91kg gold medal match against England's Frazer Clarke. India have now won 25 gold, 16 silver and 18 bronze.

England boxer Frazer Clarke is much taller than Satish, which means he has a better reach. This will be a tough bout for the Indian.

Good result coming from men's doubles table tennis bronze medal match. India's Harmeet Desai and Sanil Shankar Shetty win their match against Singapore in three straight games 11-5 11-6 12-10 to take the country to its 18th bronze.

Indian men's hockey team loses their bronze medal match to England 2-1. Big disappointment for the hockey team. They were never a "gold' favourites but were certainly in the fray for silver and bronze. Hockey fans would be very disappointed.

Vinesh Phogat wins India's first women's wrestling gold in Gold Coast in the freestyle 50kg division after remaining undefeated in all of her three league matches.

India ended up a poor 7th in the Women's 4x400m Relay Final. The Indian quartet was never in with a chance from start to finish, just about managed to avoid a last-place finish.

Neeraj Chopra wins a historic gold medal in men's javelin throw with a distance of 86.47m, which is also his season best. Vipin Kashan finishes fifth with a distance of 77.87m.

1. Vinesh's last league match against Canada's Jessica MacDonald in the women's freestyle 50kg division with be for gold. She and Jessica have won their two respective matches so far.
2. Rio Olympics bronze medallist Sakshi Malik will be disappointed as she is out of the gold-medal race after losing two of her three league matches so far.

3. Sumit (125kg) may win gold without wrestling in the last league match as his Nigerian opponent Sinivie Boltic has 'reportedly' withdrawn due to injury. It's not official yet.

However, not a very promising news to start with as the TT duo of Achanta Sharath and Mouma Das have lost their mixed doubles semis to Singaporeans 2-3.
