I never compete without full make-up, says Jessica Ennis

Ennis admitted that she never leaves the house without eyeliner and mascara.

London: Britain’s Olympic track and field medal hopeful Jessica Ennis has admitted that she never leaves the house without eyeliner and mascara - and always wears full make up to compete.
The 26-year-old athlete has already earned herself an MBE, along with European and World heptathlon titles. “It makes me feel more confident… I always ensure my skin is clean and moisturised, and never leave the house without mascara and eyeliner on,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying. “It’s really important for me to look good before a race.” “I definitely think if I feel I look good, it makes me feel more confident,” she said. She was talking behind-the-scenes on the shoot for the new ad for Olay’s Essentials range, which was shot in Barcelona’s Olympic stadium, a venue where Ennis has competed numerous times - on one occasion breaking the European record for heptathlon. As she entered the stadium, the Sheffield-born champion said she was “glad to be back”. Ennis’ love of glamour extends off the track too, with the athlete admitting she gets a kick out of preparing for big nights out. “I love getting dressed up for red carpet events and having my hair and makeup done professionally- that definitely helps with nerves of going down the red carpet,” she said. “I like to have plenty of time to get ready for a night out so there is no rushing – I like to plan what I am wearing and then work out my makeup and hair, but in the morning I take just half an hour.” “Jennifer Aniston is a beauty icon of mine - I think she is so gorgeous and natural - she just glows all the time,” she added.
