New Delhi: Seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher, who is still in coma after a skiing accident that saw him get head injuries, completed a year after the fatal accident struck him in 2013. His manager Sabine Kehm stated on Monday that the German faces a 'long fight' on the road to full recovery.

"It's going to be a long time," his manager Sabine Kehm stated on Monday to journalists.

According to reports, her comments came after former French racing driver Philippe Streiff said Schumacher was beginning to communicate with his eyes.

But the claim was dismissed by Ms Kehm and Schumacher's doctor.

Speaking to a leading newspaper in France, the former racing driver said he understood that Schumacher had began to communicate with his eyes and that he obtained the news from the former's family and doctor who treated him.

But Professor Gerard Saillant, the surgeon, denied giving any information to Mr Philippe Streiff.

Meanwhile, Sabine Kehm had also said Mr Streiff was not a close friend of Schumacher and had not been in contact with either her or Mr Saillant.
