He was speaking after inaugurating `Ashwin Pratishtana` in Kals school started by national running champion Ashwini Nachappa and her husband Datha Karumbaiah in Gonikoppal. He said it would make compulsory to build suitable play ground for the children in all the schools. Gill said he had already discussed the matter with Union Human resources Development minister Kapil Sibal.He said the department was planning to award sports scholarships and give additional five marks to talented sports persons seeking jobs. Rs 678 core will be spent for the Commonwealth games to be held in New Delhi to be held during October and Rs 300 crore will be spent for extra security measure, he said.Special adventurous sports would introduced in the hilly areas of Kodagu and Ooty, he said. Government had planned to arrange national level inter state sports meet in Bangalore and Hyderabad and the talented youths will selected for Olympics, he said. PTI
