Nagpur to host National Women `B` chess championship

Nagpur: The Vidarbha Chess Association (VCA) will host the 36th National Women `B` Chess Championship from Sept 7 to 15 with a total prize money worth Rs 1.25 lakh.

The first prize will be of Rs 30,000 besides trophy. The event is being organised on behalf of All India Chess Federation and Maharashtra Chess Association, a release by VCA said.Every state unit is entitled to send four entries and every player must be a registered player. Prize money in case of a tie for first place would be shared but trophy would go to the top notcher. Matches will be played on Swiss league system of 11 rounds, the release added. Bureau Report
