Top 10: Highest partnerships for each wicket

Sir Viv Richards and Micheal Holding made 106 runs against England at Manchester. The West Indians hold the record for the highest tenth wicket partnership.


The highest ninth wicket partnership was made by Sri Lans Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga. They made 132 runs against Australia at Melbourne.


South African pair Justin Kemp and Andrew Hall put up 138 runs together against India at Cape town. It is the highest eighth wicket partnership.

The partnership English pair Jos Buttler and Adil Rashid of 177 runs against New Zealand at Birmingham is the highest for the seventh wicket.


New Zealanders Grant Elliott and Luke Ronchi together scored 267 runs and hold the highest partnership for the sixth wicket. They achieved this feat against Sri Lanka at Dunedin.


The highest fifth wicket partnership was made by South Africans David Miller and Jean-Paul Duminy. They were able to score 256 runs together against Zimbabwe at Hamilton.


Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja put up the highest fourth wicket partnership. The Indians scored 275 runs against Zimbabwe at Cuttack.


West Indian pair Dwayne Bravo and Denesh Ramdin hold the best partnership for the third wicket. The pair contributed a total of 258 runs together against Bangladesh at Basseterre.


The highest partnership for the second wicket is held by West Indians Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels. They put up 372 runs together against Zimbabwe at Canberra.


The highest partnership for the first wicket is held by Sri Lankan batsmen Upul Tharanga and Sanath Jayasuriya. The pair managed to make 286 runs between them against England at Leeds.
