Kulgam district witnessed a large-scale drug-free padyatra led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha under the ongoing Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir campaign. Thousands of residents, including students, traders, and officials, participated. 

 Investigations revealed that the property had been procured through proceeds of the illicit drug trade and was accordingly attached under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

The crackdown resulted in the seizure of over 372 kilograms of contraband substances, including cannabis powder, ganja, charas, poppy straw, as well as smaller quantities of brown sugar, heroin, and hundreds of intoxicant tablets. 

Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations against all the arrested accused. Further investigations are underway to dismantle the wider network.
