Nitin Nabin became only the second person in the party’s history to hold this position after the current party chief, JP Nadda. Minister of Road Construction of Bihar and five-time MLA, Nitin Nabin, is the son of veteran BJP leader Navin Kishore Prasad Sinha.

The decision, taken by the BJP’s Parliamentary Board after weeks of anticipation, signals a notable generational shift within the party’s leadership structure. Party sources indicate that Nabin is likely to be elected as the BJP’s national president next year, shortly after Makar Sankranti on January 14.
