Chennai: A 28-year-old accountant, working at late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa's Kodanad Estate, has been found hanging dead at his house in Kothagiri.

The deceased, Dinesh Kumar, was found hanging from the ceiling of his house.

Earlier, security guard 40-year-old Om Bahadur posted at a bungalow, frequently visited by late Jayalalithaa, at Kodanad estate was found dead, while some documents were suspected to have been stolen from its premises.

Subsequently, two men suspected of involvement in the killing of the security guard met with separate road accidents, leading to the death of one of them.

The estate figures in the disproportionate assets case involving jailed AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala and Jayalalithaa, among others.

Spread over 900 acres, the Kodanad Estate in Nilgiri district was used by Jayalalithaa as a retreat.
