Pune: On a roll having posted their second successive win and sixth overall in the ongoing IPL, Rajasthan Royals skipper Rahul Dravid on Tuesday said that he has just told his team to focus on playing good cricket and not look at the points table.
"I`ve been telling the team to not look at the points table, and look to play good cricket," Dravid said after his team`s seven-wicket win over Pune Warriors here today.
"That`s what we would look to do over the next four games," he said.
Rajasthan restricted Pune to 125 for six after the hosts elected to bat on a wicket Dravid termed as not an easy one to bat on.
"It was not an easy wicket to bat on but (Shane) Watson had the power and technique to hit it," the skipper said in praise of the Aussie who struck 90 off just 51 balls at the Subroto Roy Sahara stadium.
While Watson finished the job, the bowlers set it up for RR.
"Happy about winning, and the way we are playing, I thought the bowlers really delivered for us, as clinical as it gets," Dravid said.
Pune skipper Sourav Ganguly rued the fact that they could not hit enough boundaries.
"We were surprised we couldn`t get the ball out of the park. 140 could have been a good total on this wicket but even then we had to get Watson out early, unfortunately that did not happen," Ganguly said.
The left-hander admitted that they are now out of play-offs contention.
"We are out of the play-offs, that is the fact, we have to play well in the remaining three."
