Mumbai: Actor Deepankar Dey, who will reprise his grandfather's role from Bengali show Bhojo Gobindo in its forthcoming Hindi TV remake Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki, says he is extremely attached to the character.
"I'm very excited to be part of Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki. I have been a part of the original show where I played the role of Dadaji. My role in the new show is also the same. I am extremely attached to the show and my character."
"When I was approached for its Hindi remake, I took it up instantly because I thought it will be exciting to portray the same role in different language for a different set of people. I hope the audiences give the same amount of love and appreciation that we received for the original version," he added.
Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki, which will also feature Vishal Vashishtha, Sweta Battacharya and Rupanjana Mitra, will be aired on Star Bharat starting from January 1.
