UP's snoozing cops! Policemen caught sleeping in PCR van hours after Greater Noida gang-rape — WATCH video

Lucknow: While the three accused in the Greater Noida gang-rape continue to be on the run, the Uttar Pradesh Police surprised us again after two officials were caught taking a nap while on duty in their PCR van.

On Tuesday morning, locals found a 35-year-old woman was found lying near Yatharth building in Kasna, Greater Noida​ and alerted the police. 

After the primary information, the woman, a resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan, told police that she was in Sohna to meet a relative. At around 8-8:30 pm yesterday, three men, driving a Swift car, dragged her inside and raped her on the roads of Sohna.

A complaint was registered and a probe was launched into the incident. However, no FIR has been lodged yet.

The UP Police has been under fire over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and rising number of rape cases.
