The Very Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘Mekunu’ has turned into an Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm on Friday, after which the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning for Maharashtra-Goa coast. According to IMD, rain is likely to occur in some parts of Goa and Maharashtra. IMD also issued weather advisories to fishermen in India, asking them not to venture into the Arabian Sea till May 26.
