Aligarh tense after residents claim they dug out cows 'buried alive'
Aligarh was on the edge on Thursday following reports of nearly a dozen cows being buried alive, allegedly to tackle the 'stray menace' in the area. The post mortem report of the animals, dug out from a field near a canal on Aligarh-Mathura Road, confirmed that they died of 'asphyxia', though police claimed that only dead cows had been buried at that particular spot.
