Park Close

Position the working car next to the dead car so the batteries are close but ensure the vehicles don't touch. Make sure both cars are turned off.

Attach Red Clamp

Connect the red (positive) jumper cable clamp to the positive terminal of the dead battery.

Connect Red To Good Battery

Attach the other end of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the working car's battery.

Attach Black Clamp

Connect the black (negative) jumper cable clamp to the negative terminal of the working car's battery.

Connect Black To Ground

Attach the other end of the black jumper cable to an unpainted metal surface on the dead car, away from the battery.

Start Working Car

Start the engine of the working car and let it run for a few minutes.

Start Dead Car

Attempt to start the car with the dead battery. If it starts, let both cars run for a few minutes to ensure the battery is charged.
