The first C-295 aircraft for India has left the Airbus defence manufacturing site in Seville, which is in southern Spain.
Airbus is to deliver 56 C-295 aircraft to Indian Air Force (IAF).
The induction of the aircraft will replace the aging Avro aircraft of IAF.
C-295 will be manufactured in India from the facility in Gujarat`s Vadodara.
The first 16 fly-away aircraft are scheduled to be received between September 2023 and August 2025.
