Jagmohan Dalmiya (1997-2000)

The former BCCI president, Dalmiya was the first Indian to become ICC chairman.

Dalmiya brought important changes in the game, increasing revenue generation and introducing innovative ideas to reform the sport.

Sharad Pawar (2010-2012)

The BCCI president and veteran politician took over as ICC chairman after two years.

He focused on the introduction of new cricket formats, improving its infrastructure, and increasing its reach.

N.Srinivasan (2014-2015)

N.Srinivasan became the first Indian to take the role of the ICC Chairman after restructuring the ICC’s government model.

His tenure was however cut short due to controversies surrounding the IPL spot-fixing scandal.

Shashank Manohar (2016-2020)

Shashank Manohar became the first ICC chairman, serving two terms in the role.

He introduced many reforms in cricket and restructured ICC’s financial model. Improved transparency in international cricket and reduced corruption.

Jay Shah (2024 onwards)

BCCI secretary Jay Shah is now set for the new big role. He is the new International Cricket Council Chairman.

He is the youngest ever to lead the ICC at the age of 35. He will take over Barclay’s role in November.
