Axar Patel - India

There were fears over Theekshana’s hamstring after he picked up the injury in Sri Lanka’s Asia Cup Super 4 match against Pakistan, and he was unavailable for selection for the tournament final. (

Tim Southee - New Zealand

Anrich Nortje - South Africa

Sisanda Magala - South Africa

The pacer had not played any cricket since splitting the webbing in his hand at the IPL 2023 in early April and was subsequently ruled out of the T20Is against Australia with infrapatellar tendinopathy - pain in the tendon that connects the kneecap to the shin bone.
