Former England skipper Alastair Cook holds the record for most consecutives Tests, having turned out in 159 games in succession from 2006 to 2018. Cook ended his career with 12,472 runs in 161 Tests.
Former Australian skipper Allan Border played in 153 consecutive Test matches from 1979 to 1994. Border notched up 11,174 runs in 156 Tests in his career.
Former Australia batter and selector Mark Waugh played in 107 successive Test matches from 1993 to 2002. Waugh scored 8,029 runs in 128 Tests.
Former India opener and captain Sunil Gavaskar played in 106 consecutive Test matches from 1975 to 1987. Gavaskar retired with 10,122 runs in 125 Tests. (Photo: ANI)
Former New Zealand captain and current England coach Brendon McCullum played in 101 successive Tests from 2004 to 2016. It was the entire duration of his Test career.
