Anuj Rawat was born on October 17, 1999, in Ram Nagar, Uttarakhand.
He studied at Bal Bhavan International School and at the University of Delhi.
He is trained from the West Delhi Cricket Academy which is run by famous Indian and Virat Kohli's coach Rajkumar Sharma.
In 2020, he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for 80 lakhs but didn't get a chance to play much. In 2022, he went to RCb for 3.4 crore.
He made his domestic cricket debut in the Ranji Trophy in October 2017 at the age of 17.
He has been a regular player in the Indian Under-19 team and also captained them in a match series against Sri Lanka in 2018.
He gives credit to Ishant Sharma and Gautam Gambhir for providing him with regular tips and information to improve his game.
