India - 12 points

Rohit Sharma's side are the only unbeaten side in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 with six wins in six games. A win over Sri Lanka or South Africa or Netherlands will be enough to breeze into the semifinals. (Photo: AP)

South Africa - 12 points

Temba Bavuma's side are all but assured of a place in the last four and need to win one out of their last three matches against New Zealand, India and Afghanistan to assure themselves of a semifinal berth. (Photo: AP)

New Zealand - 8 points

New Zealand likely need two more victories to lock in their spot in the knockout stages and hope to secure at least one of those against fellow contenders South Africa. (Photo: AP)

Australia - 8 points

Their five-run win over New Zealand has put Australia with one foot in the knockout stages, with arch-rivals England up next. Two wins out of remaining three matches maybe enough for Australia to qualify. (Photo: AP)

Sri Lanka - 4 points

The crushing nature of their win against England has kept their hopes for a semi-final berth intact, with the massive margin of victory correcting much of the early damage done to Sri Lanka's net run rate. They need to win their next 4 matches against Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh and New Zealand. (Photo: AP)

Pakistan - 4 points

Afghanistan - 4 points

Hashmatullah Shahidi's side are well and truly still in the mix to earn a semi-final berth but will likely need to win at least three of their remaining four matches - if not all four - if they are to sneak in. (Photo: AP)

Netherlands - 4 points

The crushing loss to Australia all but put an end to Netherlands' chances of reaching the semi-finals, with the Dutch now needing to finish the campaign with four consecutive wins to keep alive any slim hopes. (Photo: AP)

Bangladesh - 2 points

Shakib al Hasan's side made a great start to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 with a commanding victory against Afghanistan, but subsequent losses to England, New Zealand, India, South Africa and now the Netherlands have seen their semi-final hopes all but dashed. (Photo: AP)

England - 2 points

It would take three straight victories and an enormous stroke of luck with other results falling their way for Jos Buttler’s side to make the semi-finals, and their focus will now switch to finishing high enough in the standings to make sure they qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025. (Photo: AP)
