Raees was not allowed to play in Pakistan theatres by the film board due to 'inappropriate' portrayal of Muslims.

Neerja

Neerja was based on air-hostess Neerja Bhanot who lost her life in saving over 200 passengers in during the hijacking of the Pan Am Flight 73 at the Karachi airport in 1986. The film was banned in Pakistan as they felt it portrayed Pakistan in poor light.

Raanjhanaa

Raanjhanaa was reportedly banned as Sonam Kapoor's character was that of a Muslim girl and in Pakistan objection was raised over her depiction
